Portfolios · Fees

What you'll pay. And why.

The three fees.

All charged as a percentage of the value of your portfolio, calculated daily and deducted monthly by the platform.

Adviser fee

0.50 - 1.00%
Per year, typical range

Paid to your adviser for financial planning, advice, reviews, ongoing support and choosing which DFM and platform to use.

Quorum DFM fee

0.15 – 0.30%
Per year, by range

Paid to Quorum for managing the portfolio — fund selection, daily monitoring, rebalancing, monthly commentary, reporting and compliance.

Platform fee

0.15 - 0.30%
Per year, by platform

Paid to the platform for holding your money, executing trades, sending statements, tax reporting and FSCS protection.

There is also an ongoing fund charge (OCF) inside each fund - typically 0.06 – 0.62% depending on the portfolio. This is paid by the funds, not separately by you, but reduces returns.

What we don't charge.

Some DFMs charge for things we believe should be part of the service. To be explicit, we don't charge:

No performance fees

We charge the same flat fee whether the portfolio beats its benchmark or lags it. Performance fees encourage manager risk-taking — we'd rather earn our fee on consistency.

No exit fees

If your adviser moves your portfolio elsewhere, Quorum doesn't charge a fee to leave. The decision belongs to you and your adviser, not to us.

No fund kickbacks

We have no commercial arrangements with any fund manager. Funds are picked on merit only — we never accept money for using a particular provider.

No transaction charges

Trading costs inside the portfolio are absorbed by the underlying funds. We don't add a separate trading charge on top.
